Nicola Harris
Nicola Harris was born April 25th, 1972 in cape town. She studied ceramics as a school subject with David May and has a BA in history of art from UCT Cape Town with a diploma from the white house school of interior design. After travelling and then working in interior design her interest moved more towards product design. "Nicola Harris Design" is a synthesis of her passion for interiors/ architecture and clay.
She loves the work she does, she believes it is a gentle reminder that working collaboratively with this quiet natural power (clay) is far more rewarding than trying to dominate it. The fact that everything made is done by hand means that every single item, albeit designed the same will be unique.
